LATEST NEWS AND INTERESTING THINGS HAPPENING IN GLAMORGAN
**********
October is Cybersecurity Awareness month which is a global campaign to raise awareness of online safety and encourage good practices to help protect businesses and individuals from cybercrime. As attacks become more sophisticated we must increase our levels of understanding to better mitigate against them.
The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre has produced some excellent resources for individuals (https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/cyberaware/home) and for clubs and charities (https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/cyberaware/home). Cyber Essentials (https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/cyberessentials/overview) is a UK Government backed scheme to help protect organisations against common cyber attacks.
Cyber security will become increasingly relevant to all of us.

Everyone had a fun day, even though the weather was surprisingly cold considering it was mid summer. In the end, Glamorgan Barebows came out on top (well nearly).
After both coming top of the qualifying round Mike Woodfield (Castle Bowmen) & Claire Edwards (RJD Archers) came away with the Silver medal and Becca Callan (Castle Bowmen) and Simon Browning (Perriswood) took the Bronze.
**Glamorgan County Team**
Since 2008 when the WAA inter-county tournament was devised, and Glamorgan came a magnificent 2nd place, the county team has done extremely well every year. Glamorgan has won the trophy 10 times, and never came lower than 2nd every other time.
If you want to be part of the team this year, just look out for the details on the County team page when they are released.

Congratulations to Pentref Bowmen for holding a very successful Glamorgan Field Championships, The Glynn Rud memorial shoot, with archers attending from very far and wide. They were extremely busy as they also hosted the Welsh Field Champs the next day, so awesome work from the premier Field club in the UK.
