Glamorgan Archery Association covers all the archery clubs in the former Glamorgans area of S'Wales
We are the largest county association in Wales and are affiliated to the WAA (Welsh Archery Association) and ArcheryGB
Our clubs hold dozens of tournaments every year including County Championships for Target and > Field archery <

Congratulations to Pentref Bowmen for holding a very successful Glamorgan Field Championships, The Glynn Rud memorial shoot, with archers attending from very far and wide. They were extremely busy as they also hosted the Welsh Field Champs the next day, so awesome work from the premier Field club in the UK.

**Glamorgan County Team**
Since 2008 when the WAA inter-county tournament was devised, and Glamorgan came a magnificent 2nd place, the county team has done extremely well every year. Glamorgan has won the trophy 7 times, and never came lower than 2nd every other time.
If you want to be part of the team this year, just look out for the details on the County team page when they are released.

TEAM TRAINING DAYS ALSO AVAILABLE ON THE COUNTY TEAM PAGE.
If you intend to attend any of the training days you MUST register your intention with the team manager, Richard Downer. This is to ensure the correct number of targets are arranged by the host club, and are at the correct distances.
If you do not let the team manager know, it may cause delays for the whole team and may result in you not being able to shoot at all.

Congratulations to all the Glamorgan archers chosen to represent Wales at the Commonwealth Archery Championships of Europe 2021 (formally The Euronations).
Wales came a creditable 2nd place overall with most of the Welsh archers getting shiny medals.
GLAMORGAN ARCHERS ARE OFFICALLY THE BEST IN WALES
2021 saw Blandy Jenkins host the Welsh Archery Association Intercounties Tournament and the magnificent Glamorgan County Team win it for a record breaking 8th time.

Important information from the treasurer:
When sending affiliation cheques to the Glamorgan Treasurer Please ensure you do NOT use initials for 'Glamorgan Archery Association' & 'Welsh Archery Association' , write them out in full.
Banks are returning any cheques with 'GAA' or 'WAA' on them. This delays your affiliation and creates extra work for the Treasurer !!.
