Tournament Timing Lights

LIGHTS

GLAMORGAN HAVE PURCHASED TWO PROFESSIONAL TIMING LIGHT SYSTEMS FOR ANY GLAMORGAN CLUB TO USE.

THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE TO BOOK AND USE AT YOUR TOURNAMENTS TO ADD AN EXTRA LEVEL OF AWESOMENESS.

Exactly how you can book these lights out , plus the obligatory small print about hiring them is detailed below.

GLAMORGAN ARCHERY ASSOCIATION – TOURNAMENT TIMING SYSTEM

The Glamorgan Archery Association (GAA) now owns tournament timing systems available for use by clubs affiliated to GAA when organising open tournaments at their clubs.

There is no cost to affiliated clubs to loan the system, unless damage is sustained during the loan period. (see conditions of loan)

In cases where two clubs are looking to loan the system for the same dates, priority will be given to club running the highest ranking tournament. This means for example, a record status tournament will be given priority over non-record status events. GAA tournaments will be given top priority in all cases.

The systems are stored at Neath Archers and Llandaff City Bowmen. Clubs loaning the system will be responsible for the safe collection and return to the hosting club, at a mutually agreed date and time.

Booking arrangements

To reserve the timing system, contact the hosting club nearest to the venue of the tournament, by emailing the request using the following contact details.

Llandaff City Bowmen - henry.fray@llandaffcitybowmen.com

Neath Archers - neatharchers@hotmail.co.uk

Clearly head your email “Request to loan GAA timing system” and requests should be made as soon as the date of the tournament is known to avoid disappointment.

Conditions

Sets will be checked on issue and return and must be returned with batteries fully charged and in working order.

Collection will be at a time mutually agreed between the hosting and loaning club. .

Minor damage (i.e. scuff on the outer casing and on the tripods) will be accepted as normal wear and tear

If damage, other than minor damage does occur during the loan period, the loaning club is responsible for the cost of repair,  or a contribution to a replacement system, unless there is compelling evidence the damage sustained was beyond the control of the loaning club’s tournament organisers.

In such cases, the loaning club’s liability is limited to £500. Loaning clubs must accept this liability or the loan request will not be accepted.

Loaning clubs are responsible for the supply of AA batteries required for the remote control units.

.

The timing units themselves are rechargeable and should always be re-charged before returning them after your tournament.

The separate remote control unit requires 4 AA batteries, these MAY be provided, but it is highly advisable to have a spare set on hand in case they run out in the middle of your event.

.

Disputes

In the event of dispute between the hosting and loaning club, which cannot be resolved informally and by mutual agreement, the issue of the dispute will be referred to the Secretary of the GAA in the first instance.

And here are some photos of them.

Extra thanks must go to Henry Fray of Llandaff City Bowmen for the excellent engraving of the Glamorgan Archery Association logo onto them.
